New Wire Wheels Nowhere is the old adage "You get what you pay for" more prevalent than in chroming wire wheels. Nobody likes to pay more than they have to for something, but wheels are the foundation of your restoration, and when done properly, chromed wired wheels enhance both the beauty and value of your classic era motorcar. For the past 25 years we have been restoring and making new and rebuilt chromed wire wheels. In order to do a quality "show job" the rim and hub must be polished to a mirror like finish. Original rims are usually rusted inside and out, and to make them plateable they must be polished until the pitts are gone. But, by the time you polish all of the pitts out, you have weakened the rim. That is why we think it is so important to use new rims made from the right material in the proper thickness. There is seldom a problem with using an original hub unless the wheel has been driven loose and the drive "wallowed" out. When we do chrome plated wheels we use new rims which are polished to a mirror-like finish before they are dimpled. The rims and hubs are then copper plated buffed and nickel chrome plated.

Delivery, Payment and Cancellations
Delivery can take from 6 weeks to a year or more. We do not stock rims. We make every effort to meet your show deadlines, however sometimes there are delays beyond our control. If you cancel a wheel order there will be cancellation charges. Once a set of wheels have been started you must be prepared to pay for them. We accept a deposit when wheels are ordered and require progress payments as the work progresses. If a requested progress payment is not received in a reasonable amount of time, work on the wheels will stop until payment is received. Wheels will be shipped when they are paid in full.
